Unofficial translation from the Vietnamese original.
On 1 December 2021, the Chemical Corps took part in the third annual online workshop of the network of ASEAN military experts on chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) defence.

Joining the Chemical Command delegation at the Foreign Relations Department's videoconference point were representatives of the Military Security Protection Department/General Department of Politics, the Foreign Relations Department and the Institute for Defence International Relations/General Department II.
At the plenary session of the workshop, CBR experts from Australia, Indonesia and Singapore gave presentations on "Preventing terrorist use of toxic agents – the role of chemical forensics and international cooperation". In addition, under the chairmanship of Dr Loke Weng Keong, Head of the Secretariat of the ASEAN Military Experts Network on CBR, chemical, biological and radiological experts from the ASEAN Member States discussed, reviewed and assessed the network's activities in 2021 and its work plan for 2022.

Participation in the online workshop has helped to build the capacity of the Corps' specialist officers and to improve the quality of their advice on the implementation of international resolutions and treaties and on CBRN incident response. During the online workshop, officers of the Chemical Corps worked with agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defence, actively and proactively contributed their views and fully met the requirements set by the organisers, for which they were highly appreciated; they also strictly complied with the laws of the State and the regulations of the Army on military foreign relations.
