Integrated circuits designed or rated as radiation hardened to withstand any of the following: a. A Total Ionizing Dose (TID), being the total radiation dose accumulated over time that damages the integrated circuit, of 5 x 103 Gy (silicon) or higher; b. A dose rate upset, being the ability to withstand an extremely intense radiation flux over a very short period, of 5 x 106 Gy (silicon)/s or higher; or c. A fluence of neutrons bombarding the surface of the integrated circuit (1 MeV equivalent) of 5 x 1013 n/cm2 or higher on silicon, or its equivalent for other materials.
