I.3Frequency changers (converters or inverters)

– Static converters usable as a variable or fixed frequency motor drive and having all of the following characteristics:(i) Multiphase output providing a power of 40 VA or greater.(ii) Operating at a frequency of 600 Hz or more.(iii) Control step (or frequency accuracy) less than 0,2 %.– Excluding: Frequency changers, including converters or inverters, specially designed or prepared to supply motor stators for gas centrifuge enrichment, having all of the following characteristics: multiphase frequency output of 600 Hz or more; high stability, with a control step (or frequency accuracy) less than 0,2 %.– Note:Frequency changers or generators are not controlled if they have hardware, software or technology constraints that limit the performance to less than that specified above.
